This profile of "Richard Garcia" is wrong, he did not start his career at Leyton Orient/Orient, he was signed by West Ham as a youth player along with the likes of Michael Ferrante from West Hams own "youth camp" in Austraila, and he progressed through the west ham youth teams in the same side as the likes of Joe Cole and Michael Carrick and was seen as a very good prospect.
he was even the captain ahead of Carrick and Cole for the West Ham youth teams 9-0 youth cup final demolition of Coventry city. He was given a contract at the end of that season and big things were expected of him... and he was loaned out to Leyton Orient to gain experiance and made an impact scoring a few goals and winning rave reviews, but sadly he sustained a terrible injury to his knee ( need clarification on the exact injury, but im sure it was his knee) and was out for around a year.
he was loaned back to orient when he had recovered from the injury but was sadly never the same player, at the end of his second loan spell at "orient" he went back to west ham and played a few games in their 2003-2004 season..but couldnt hold down a regular place, he was then sent out on loan again later that season.. this time to colchester united in a bid to find his form... and completed a permanent transfer to the essex club shortly after, where he still is, and is starting to find some of the form that promted west ham to offer him a full contract as a 17 year old... so he was never the full property of Orient, nor did west ham notice him at orient and sign him... he was spotted in west ham's own youth camp in australia and was signed on schoolboy forms , he was only ever on loan at orient from west ham united
